Bob Ballard, Illustrator and Artist.

I was born in 1947.

Twelve years ago I retired from a long and successful career as a Technical Illustrator and Author working on engineering contracts around the world.

I now concentrate on Fine Art. My goals are twofold:

1. To create extraordinary art from ordinary subjects, and

2. To develop a personal style that has wide appeal and is instantly recognisable as my work.

I have always believed that if I could achieve these two objectives I would never be short of a subject to paint or a patron to sell to.

Twelve years of practice and experiment has led me to believe I am close to my goal of becoming a competent and authentic painter.
